Samantha’s Iranian Report – The Iranian woman

Hi, my name is Samantha Henderson and I will be your friendly Iranian correspondent! 

I would like to focus this particular page on the women in Iran; specifically i would like to bring a rather unheard of (at least by Western standards) view of Iranian women and the power they wield in the home. To this point I have come to realise that the picture painted by the mainstream media does not necessarily always take into account the views of the people they have come to write about. 

This blog is another view; another door, another pathway, into understanding the culture of the Iranian people and how it strongly it influences the decisions they make in regards to not only their political choices, but also their every-day lives.

I very much look forward to sharing some local Iranian’s perspectives of this topic with you, and also to your responses of the posted stories!
